Contract Counselors

Contract Positions: Shield Bearer is hiring Contract Associates and Contract Fully-Licensed Therapists available at least 10 hours per week or more.

Contract therapists set up their schedules while working with the support of the SBCC team. They see clients within their specialty and scope of knowledge. SBCC's office manager does all the marketing and billing for them to focus on what they do best, care for clients. Contract counselors provide care for a wide range of age groups using many theories to assist with many mental health issues. They also facilitate groups in the office and within the community.

Contract Compensation potential increases with therapist availability during high-request times and maintaining a full client schedule. Depending on qualifications, experience, and availability, compensation ranges from $20 to $54 per session.

Part-Time Staff Counselors

Staff Positions: Shield Bearer is also hiring Part-time Staff Therapists. Staff Therapists must work 15 hrs per week or more and be available to work rotating shifts in the evenings and Saturdays.

Compensation for part-time staff therapists depends on qualifications, experience, and client caseload and ranges from $40 to $50 per session.

Qualifications

  • Master's (Required)
  • Fully licensed and credentialed in Texas
  • LPC, LPC-Associate, LMFT, LMFT-Associate, LMSW, LCSW (Required)
  • Previously paneled with major insurance companies strongly preferred
  • Experienced in working with adult and/or child and adolescent populations, couples & families
  • Must be willing to accept insurance
  • Familiarity with community mental health resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients

Clinicians must be Shield Bearer Mission Driven.

Clinicians must have a firm understanding of CBT and trauma-informed practice and established experience in providing direct clinical services. Advanced training in additional modalities is welcomed (ACT, DBT, EMDR, EFT, SE, Play Therapy, etc.).
